Volunteers Needed at the Museum

Would you be interested in volunteering at the museum? We need additional volunteers. The duties are opening and closing the museum and greeting visitors once a month for 2 hours on Tuesdays or Saturdays during the months of April though November. Please call Millie at 712 324 3235.

A unique find from probably at least 20,000 years ago was uncovered in Sheldon and is now on display at the Sheldon Prairie Museum. A woolly mammoth tooth! The tooth measures about 11″ x 7″ x 4″ and weighs 11.2 pounds.
A once-in-a-lifetime find in northwest Iowa on March 4 is finally ready for the public, stop in and check it out.
