We are SO EXCITED about our up coming Heritage Day & Touch A Truck. We have lots of craft venders coming!! There will lots of great food!! Dip n Dots, Snow Cones!!
Trucks of all kinds (Fire trucks, police car, tractors, trucks big and small)
Face painting & Balloon animals!!
Beautiful quilts in the Museum.

We are having a Southwestern Farm & Home Museum Heritage Day on Saturday September 7th, from 10am - 4pm. at the museum and in the Shipman park. We are looking for venders, food stands/truck, demonstrators. There will be no charge for your space we are just asking that you make a donation to the museum. We will also be having a quilt show and an antique show. If you or anyone you know is interested in participating please contact us. We have a few items for sale! First we have three different books written by local author Jim Frank, about local county and township history. They are $15 each. Very interesting!!! Next we have boot jacks that were made by Shipman resident Ron Hamp. They are $5 each. Ron was a former shop teacher at Southwestern High School & Alton High. He also owned his own wood shop in Shipman for many years! These are very well built items!! Last we have Southwestern Middle School cookbooks! These are $10 each. These were published in 2001 and include many recipes from students, teachers, and parents! Lot of good recipes in them!!!

The Southwestern Farm & Home Museum will be open both nights of the Shipman picnic. Come by and see us!!! Our hours for both nights are 5pm - 8pm. We have an up dated scavenger hunt for visitors enjoyment. We will also be passing out coupons for "Buy on get one free" admission to the museum good for the remaining of the 2019 year!

The Southwestern Farm & Home Museum is opening for the season this Saturday April 4th. We will be open the first Saturday of the month April thru October. Our hours are 9am - 3pm. Tour prices are: Adults - $5, Students - $2, children 4 and under free. This is a great place to come and explore our local history and take a walk down memory lane.
