June has officially arrived and here is what's coming down the tracks over the next couple of weeks:

June 4th: Railroads & Roleplaying (Game Night)

June 7th: Sioux City Tabletop Gamers (Game Day)

June 13th: Gearhead Gala (Motorcycle/Car/Truck Show)

June 14th: Mystic Market Siouxland

Another important reminder, we will be switching to our summer hours beginning this week and now be open:

Thursday - Saturday (10am-4pm)
Sunday (12pm - 4pm)

Lastly, as we enter our busiest season and with many events/activities going on, we can always use more volunteers! If anyone is interested, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Our shaded picnic area features plenty of family-sized picnic tables tucked beneath the trees inside the historic Milwaukee Railroad Shops Historic District — the perfect place to relax, laugh, and enjoy lunch together before exploring the museum grounds.

Swing by nearby favorites like Billy Boy Drive Thru or Dairy Queen for burgers, hot dogs, ice cream, snacks, and summer treats before heading over!

We hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend in reverence for those that have sacrificed and served for our nation. 🇺🇸

In addition, we felt the necessity to thank you all again for your incredible support, and the coverage provided by Kaylie Dahms KTIV and KTIV News 4 over these last couple weeks. It has been humbling to say the least, as there are many other deserving organizations trying to create a positive impact on the community.

Due to the unfortunate situation we encountered, changes have or soon will be made to ensure it does not happen again.

However, for further reassurance, we also strongly encourage those willing and able, to sign up for one of our membership plans.

Memberships not only provide direct support, future planning, and open other opportunities, but they also help alleviate the need for donations to be put into cash boxes while visiting the museum.

To the Siouxland community and those beyond, we cannot thank you enough for your continued support.

Since the news broke about the incident we had over the weekend regarding some of our donation boxes, the concern for our well-being and positive outreach has been humbling to say the least.

Different measures will certainly be pursued in order to avoid similar situations in the future. However, this isolated incident will not deter us from hosting the most affordable and enjoyable events possible.

As always, you truly are the inspiration for what we do and will forever be the backbone to what we hope to achieve.
