Hey, we got a few days left until the Four Winds Art & Music Festival...probably time to meet some artists.

Artist Magdalyn Lee is a force of nature. Her works breathe organic design and vibrant colors. The world she creates is whimsical, dreamlike and at times a tad spooky. She came to Vishnu Bunny Tattoo as a tattoo apprentice and quickly became a staple in the shop. When learning of her works on canvas and paper, we immediately knew we need to share them, and had a solo show in November of 22 MAGDALYN LEE: AN INTRODUCTION.

Magdalyn returns to Four Winds for a second time this year and we couldn't be more proud to show her work.

Artist Statement- I’m a local Sioux Falls tattoo artist and painter. My work focuses on colorful or exaggerated women, flowers, and animals. I work predominantly with acrylic paints, watercolor and inks.

Hey, we got a few days left until the Four Winds Art & Music Festival...probably time to meet some artists.

We first came upon artist Rose Neuharth in 2022 on social media. Not knowing a ton about her, we were amazed by her art. Confident lines, beautiful palettes and graceful compositions filled her work. We immediately had to have her show her art, and included her in our 2022 Le Nouveau (NOW) event. We were absolutely blown away.

He art echos work of masters, with pattern work reminiscent of Klimt with figurative work with echoes of German expressionism, wrapped in a package with Native American themes and sophisticated colors. She has shown throughout the area and garnered the respect and admiration of artists and viewers everywhere. All in all, she is the real deal and we cannot wait to see what she does next.

Artist Statement- My name is Rose Neuharth, I am a self taught artist and have been making art since I was little, and showing work professionally for the last 4 years. I work primarily in acrylic and oil paints when I work. I’ve been able to hone my skill independently through practice, as well as jumping at opportunities that offer experience. I’ve discovered the art world to be a daunting yet captivating place. I’m currently in the process of discerning what kind of painter I am trying to be. Right now that means painting what I want and putting all the stress and tensity of pressure to rest by filling a canvas.

Hey, we got a few days left until the Four Winds Art & Music Festival...probably time to meet some artists.

Jessica Hammond (aka Brutal Doodles) puts the “active” in the term “art activist”. She exploded onto the Sioux City arts scene and has left her footprint everywhere. Her “Space Steve” figure has graced galleries, water-towers, restaurant advertisements and murals. Her unique, forward style of line, color and organic flow make her work instantly recognizable and uniquely her own. She has been a powerhouse to push the art community in Sioux City, from her tireless promotions of shows, concerts and her fantastic work with the Art Alley event downtown, all with a smile and a positive attitude.

I've often said that the Sioux Falls scene could learn a lot from the Sioux City one, and Jessica is one of the major reasons.

Jessica is returning Four Winds this year and we couldn't be prouder to have her and show her work.

Hey, we got a few days left until the Four Winds Art & Music Festival...probably time to meet some artists.

Adrian Day...what a long strange trip it has been. We first showed Adrian's work, I don't know, maybe 5 or 6 years ago. He came with a certain positive energy that immediately showed in his work: bold colors, thick lines with spooky, cute, coy subject matter. He seemed to have an endless supply of art and ideas. Fast forward a few years, an apprentice tattoo artist at Permanent Addictions and now working full time as a kick ass tattoo artist. And the art keeps coming and we all are the better for it.

Adrian is returning Four Winds this year and we couldn't be prouder to have him and show his work.

About the artist:

Adrian day was born and raised in Sioux Falls and has been a local freelance mixed media artist since 2017. He now works at Permanent Addictions as a tattoo artist and his favorite themes includes anything fantasy, horror, nature/animals, and making weird stuff.

Hey, we got a few days left until the Four Winds Art & Music Festival...probably time to meet some artists.
Artist Breanna Fischer-Susemihl's work is hard to categorize. It's dark, it's classic, it's pretty, it's modern...you can go on and on with descriptive words and still not get to heart of the art she is creating. The raw emotions of her work are striking, in fact, I've never hung a show with more interest, staff and customers intrigued at the product and the process. I've only had the privilege of working with her a few times and those shows were spectacular. There is a beautiful calm in her work, with an underlying mystery that keeps you wanting to come back. She's shared with us a few watercolor works that are lighter in tone but still pack an emotional, mystical punch. You may have come across her work at various shows around the area, and we are incredibly lucky to have her for this years Four Winds.
About the artist:
Breanna Fischer, aka Siena Marie, is a self-taught artist from the US. She works in a variety of mediums, particularly oils and watercolor, often using mixed media to create her images. Her art doesn't fall into any one style, spanning realism, portraiture, surrealism and abstract themes. Her work aims at capturing emotions and moments that inspire the artist.
