Maureen Milliken is author of the Bernadette “Bernie” O’Dea mystery series, the fourth of which, “Dying For News,” won the 2025 Maine Literary Award for Crime Fiction. She grew up in Augusta, and is mostly retired from a career in newspapers in Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
She co-hosts the podcast Crime & Stuff with her sister, Maine artist Rebecca Milliken. She lives in central Maine.
