My Father is King of kings and Lord of lords. This knowledge steadies and stabilizes me. God’s abundant love and magnificent promises comfort me and fill me with joy and hope. I want my art to glorify God. Like you, my life has had ups and downs, and my faith has not always been strong through the “downs.” But now that I’m pretty old I can look back and see God meant what he said, “And we know tha
t God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” I can see how he used those “downs” to grow me stronger and more compassionate. This sustains me. Presently my husband has an incurable disabling disease, and I am his caretaker. I am honored to be chosen to take care of him; and still, it is one of life’s terrible downs. My heart turns toward Heaven full of light and color. My art keeps me sane. People who love me keep me sane. Prayers keep me sane. God is still working His promises. Glory to God. I do have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of South Florida (Tampa, FL). I was in “honors” painting classes. I did not pursue a career in art, but was drawn into mental health counseling through life’s downs and opportunities. I have an MA in mental health counseling, and that was a compelling, satisfying career. Throughout all I have painted or creatively worked with pottery. Now retired from my career I can give attention to sharing my paintings. Please let me know if you enjoy them. My art themes are about hope of heaven, God’s gifts, and “Whatsoever is lovely.”
