Well I did it, fired yo the old kiln! Made a red beauty for July 4th! Also, met a wonderful woman in the short north that is now marketing our art! Pm gallery is the name of her shop, she has some fabulous pieces in her gallery. ;) here we go again!

We were told that we need to share the process of how to make our lanterns. The process is too long, so here is a quick break down. 1st we have to design the glass, it can either be recycled from lots of scrap melted down in a form, clear glass that we had our designs to using different shapes or glass that has been dyed and can be cut into smaller sheets. Every piece of glass fuses different and slumps different. Day 1 is molding glass to our size, shape and color. This is a 12-18 hour process. Day 2 is draping our glass to form a shape. This is also a 12 hour process. Day 3 we clean the piece, and add the wick holders to them, the glue takes 24 hours to adhere. So each piece is one of a kind, hand made, with lots of special care and takes about 3 days to make. I will say I love every minute of it! I get excite to see the finished piece every morning! There is one annealing now, take a guess what color is it going to be?....

Pretty good weekend, I must say! Thank you to everyone who purchased one of our pieces. Now back to Firing up the kilns! ;)

We have a few shows this weekend and most of these are leaving so please if you want us to hold one for you let us know asap. A order for 5 are leaving Sunday and we are sending the rest to a show tomorrow and Sunday and two are headed to North Carolina. Two left today... Working on inventory!!

What color do I start with today? I just made one that my daughter is begging me not to sell... It actually is only clear and white and I think I like it too. How many of you like to see pictures of these?
