Art on the Hill This Boutique-style Gallery thrived for 30+ local Artists and Gifts for 8 years. Sadly we lost our lease and closed our retail store on January 4th, 2025.

d undiscovered talent, there is something for every budget. A monthly Guest Artist program featuring 1-3 Artists keeps loyal customers coming back often. 3rd Fridays outdoor community events May-Oct have brought in a constant flow of new fans. Joanne says, “We hold our 3rd Friday specials year-round, offering multiple promotions from Noon to 6PM that day. There are not the crowds of the outdoor 3rd Fridays events, just a steady flow of support. We especially pride ourselves in partnering with local businesses to immerse Art into the Community and the Community into Art.”

The rose-breasted grosbeaks have returned to Peace Valley Nature Center!

These striking migratory songbirds spend their winters in Central and South America before returning to Pennsylvania each spring to breed. Males are easy to spot with their bold black-and-white plumage and bright red chest patch, while females resemble large striped sparrows.

Rose-breasted grosbeaks (Pheucticus ludovicianus) are frequent visitors to feeders, especially if sunflower seeds are available, but they also play an important role in forest ecosystems by feeding on insects during nesting season.

Keep an eye on the feeders near the Nature Center—you may spot one of these beautiful birds during your next visit
