And just like that it’s winter again!

Such a gorgeous capture of our beloved Fannette Island in Emerald Bay. The cobalt waters against the snow. The green hue of the shallows surrounding the island and long tree shadows all came together to create quite the piece.

I had been waiting for a proper sky for the first of a few images I have planned here at this vantage. All day I watched as the clouds morphed and swirled into what looked to be a potentially promising display of Sierra Light.
I closed up the gallery and made my way up to the composition with high hopes. I set up and awaited the color. As I stood watching the sun dip it seemed for a moment as though it got swallowed up by some dense clouds. After thinking to myself, “oh well at least it’s always nice just to be out in the mountains”, the color started to show up subtlety on the belly of the clouds. As it intensified and I captured my images I was so excited to have been gifted these conditions for Easter. I hope you all enjoy this new release,
