South Padre Island Art Space ArtSpace is a vibrant creative learning place for all enriching our community-Join Us! This amount helps pay the rent and electricity.

South Padre Island Art Space evolved out of a community of Artists that started doing ceramics and other crafts together weekly in their garages. After two years, the group joined other ceramicists and started a ceramic studio. In one year the ceramicists joined with other artists of varying mediums and created the South Padre Island Art Space. In order to sustain the Art Space, “Keyholders” agree

to pay a monthly membership fee. Additional funds are brought in through retail commission sales and workshop/class fees. The “Keyholder”, in return, is given 24/7 access to the space, the use of the equipment and a 70/30 commission rate on artwork sales. The South Padre Island Art Space opened its doors to the public on February 1, 2011. Workshops in fiber art, painting and ceramics have been given on a regular basis since then. It is clear that the Art Space is providing a creative art outlet for the public. Each summer Art Space members plan and promote a summer art program for kids.

July 6, 7, 8 & 9 Painting Camp
July 13, 14, 15 & 22 Clay Camp (Notice the 4th day is later to allow for firing)
July 27, 28, 29 & 30 Craft Camp
All Camps are only $150 each. Limited scholarships are available for those who need them. (Please self select.)
