Installed today at Sylvester Manor for their summer exhibition. A place layered with history, memory, and generations of stories.

A gorgeous stop along the “Children of the World’s” journey, these sculptures thrive in the vastness of Sylvester Manor, where the landscape, history, and artwork all seem to speak the same quiet language.

Surrounded by nature, the sculptures feel less placed and more as though they’ve always belonged there.

Cartographies of the Displaced now lives within the walls and gardens of Palazzo Mora for the 61st Venice Biennale, representing El Salvador on one of the world’s largest art stages.

From sketches and conversations to installation and opening day, this project has been years in the making. What once existed only as an idea has now transformed into a landscape of presence, memory, migration, resilience, and human connection.

The sculptures move quietly through the space like fragments of memory and survival. Grounded yet emotional, silent yet powerful. Each figure carries its own story while standing together as part of something larger, inviting viewers to reflect on displacement, identity, and the experiences we carry within us.

Meet the team behind Cartographies of the Displaced - the ones who helped bring these sculptures to life and carried them all the way to Venice.

From creation to installation, every piece passed through their hands, shaped, lifted, moved, and placed with care and precision. What you see is not just the final exhibition, but the result of a dedicated team working together every step of the way.

It takes union to turn an idea into something you can walk through, feel, and experience.

A quiet look behind the scenes, where the Venice Biennale sculptures were brought to life, right here in Italy.

The in between moments, the process, the patience…everything is leading up to the reveal!

There’s something surreal about watching the sculptures move through water. Moments where everything slows down, where you realize this idea, once just a conversation, is now physically making its way through Venice.

—————

“Children of the World” have migrated to a new setting at LongHouse Reserve, where reflection and form intertwine, echoing the movement, memory, and continuity carried within each figure.

Now on their 13th placement on the property, the work embodies migration not as a single act, but as an ongoing process.

Introducing The Arabian Herd, a new evolution of the Hamptons Herd series.

Inspired by the beauty and noble presence of Arabian horses. Known for their distinctive arched necks, refined heads, and enduring spirit, these sculptures are larger in scale and feature elongated, elegant forms that echo the grace and movement of the breed. Positioned within the landscape, the herd creates a quiet moment of presence and dialogue between sculpture, architecture, and the surrounding environment.

Installed at the Holiday House Palm Beach Designer Showhouse in Wellington, Florida.

📍: 11153 Polo Club Rd, Wellington, Florida
📆: Public Tours - March 4th to May 3rd, 2026
