In preparation for our celebration of the Knox Trail Anniversary and our lecture Sunday March 15th (https://fayvillehall.org/event/knox-trail-lecture/), we thought we would test your knowledge of our dear General.
Here's the first question: Which aspect of Henry Knox’s early life in Boston most directly prepared him for his later role as chief of artillery in the Continental Army?
A
His brief apprenticeship to a silversmith, which taught him precision metalwork
B
His work in his bookshop, which gave him access to European military and artillery treatises
C
His experience as a clerk in a shipping company, where he learned coastal navigation
D
His participation in Boston town politics as a vocal Whig orator
No googling now! Answer tomorrow!
