A creative night at the Spooner Middle School Spring Fling!

Arts in Hand Gallery was thrilled to join students, families, and community members in celebrating the incredible artwork and science projects on display. The energy in the building was all curiosity, color, and hands‑on discovery — exactly what makes this event so special.

Our printmaking station was a hit! Students chose their favorite bird of prey and created their own stamped cards, a fun way to connect artmaking with our upcoming community collaboration with Winged Freedom Raptor Hospital on July 18.

We loved seeing students dive into the process, experiment, and proudly share what they’ve been working on. Thank you to Spooner Middle School for inviting us to be part of such an inspiring evening.

Spring-Themed Mixed Media Batik classes with Arts in Hand Gallery artist Mary Jones were a joyful, creative success! Held in Studio 210 above the gallery on 05/07 and 05/09/2026, students crafted two batiks each — one beautifully mounted on a painted wooden canvas — while laughing, learning, and exploring mixed-media batik techniques. Thank you to everyone who joined us for these fun and inspiring classes!

Join us for A Matter of Perspective: Two Generations, Two Mediums — a powerful exhibition featuring painter Roger Nielsen and photographer Heidi Nielsen-Meade.
