Here's a customer quilt I really enjoyed quilting. She often does more with her back than most and she did a great job. It brightened up my day and we decided to go with a strawberry vine quilting pattern.

This is a project I started and completed during the beginning of the Covid-19 Pandemic. I wanted to make a quilt with happy colors and used a free pattern "The Village", but I spaced my houses out a bit so they could be socially distanced.

Isn't this just beautiful! The full-size pattern will be available as a block of the month, from the Virginia Quilt Museum, beginning in June. Keep an eye on their website and page for more information.

On National Quilting Day (March 16th) we revealed at the Museum what our next Quilt Pattern and Sew Along fundraiser will be. Here is a picture of the quilt In case you missed it. The Buhl-Bushong quilt of 1855.

Starting in July we will begin offering the FULL SIZE templates, applique' pattern pages and instructions as an instant download. This will be a 12 month sew along project that will run from Julye 2019 - June 2020. Each month you will receive 1 portion of the pattern for $5.00 (US).

The sew along will be hosted by Doreen Johnson and Patti Snyder. The Museum will set up a facebook group page for those working on this quilt that wish to share their work and experience in a group setting. There will be a class/workshop at the Museum early this coming Fall for those interested in learning several techniques for piecing the center blocks. The quilt finishes at 87" x 87".

This is one of my favorite quilts. These pictures show the custom quilting with cross-hatching in the borders.

Took an appliqué course and this was the final project. The class was great and had a lot of fun with the quilting. I trimmed around the applique and put a pearl fill in the background.
