Today's featured Block Party artist is Cullen Curtis!

Cullen Curtis is a printmaker and sculptural painter from St. Louis exploring topics of entropy, natural processes, and the built environment. Using household materials, the works are containers for an amount of labor and domestication within a lived human experience, and the accumulation of human imprints that occur in the lifespan of a residential building.

This marks his fourth year participating in Block Party, and we can't wait to see what he creates this year! Block Party - The Steamroller Print Event is happening on June 13th at the Foundry Art Centre in St. Charles, MO!

Vendor applications for this year's Block Party are due in one week! Block Party will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 11 AM to 5 PM at the Foundry Art Centre. Apply now on our website before time runs out!

The Foundry’s Block Party centers on a unique and over-the-top method of printmaking, using a STEAMROLLER! Large-scale images created by regional artists are carved on large woodblocks. Kansas City-based Twin Hound Print Shop and their team of inkers roll ink onto these blocks, canvas is laid on top, and then the whole thing is run over with a steamroller – squishing the ink from the woodblock to the sheet. These fantastic prints will be taken into the Foundry’s Grand Hall to dry on display.

Visitors are invited to visit artist and sponsor booths, print demonstrations, free art activities for all ages, and of course, to view all of the prints created throughout the day.

This is the final week to view Nabil Mousa's exhibition Shapes of Transcendence: Exploring Profound Abstraction.

Mousa's exhibition is a collection of paintings inspired by Nabil Mousa’s spiritual journey through Sedona, Arizona, and the ancient tradition of Ta**ra paintings. These works evoke a sense of serenity and spiritual connection, offering a visual pathway to inner contemplation and renewal.

Mousa has exhibited nationally and internationally, including his solo exhibition American Landscape: An Exploration of Art & Humanity at the Arab American National Museum, which received front-page coverage in the New York Times Art section. His work has also been featured in Art in America, NBC News, and numerous international publications including Wolgammisool (South Korea) and To Vima (Greece), reflecting the global resonance of his practice.

The last day to explore his work in our East Gallery is Saturday, May 16.
