We’re thrilled to launch a new summer street-view exhibition program at the Sam Fox School Gallery with “Bridge Loop” from artist Carmen Ribaudo.

Viewable from the Delmar sidewalk during the summer months, Bridge Loop presents a series of playful, hinged plywood shapes from a body of work Ribaudo developed during her time as the 2025-2026 Post-MFA Studio Fellow.

Bridge Loop is viewable from the street June 1 – August 28. A closing reception and artist talk will take place in the Sam Fox School Gallery on Friday, August 28 from 5-7pm.

We are delighted to present two exhibitions opening at the Sam Fox School Gallery one week from today on Friday, April 24th with a reception from 4:30-6:30pm.

In Gallery 2, “Throughlines” features work from graduate students that represent the Sam Fox School as part of the Sam Fox Ambassador Graduate Fellowship program.

A statement from the 2025-26 Ambassador cohort:
“We are the Sam Fox Ambassadors; a graduate student cohort comprised of every discipline in the Sam Fox School: Art, Architecture, Illustration, and Landscape. Often it feels as if we exist in separate worlds, despite residing in the same building. Countering this feeling of being silo’d, we aim to create a space that breaks down the walls between us and our practices. We welcome you to join us in drawing connections between our pieces, processes, and projects.”

Exhibition reception is April 24, 4:30-6:30pm. Throughlines will be on view from April 24 - May 16. Gallery Hours are Wednesday - Saturday from 12-5pm. Free and open to the public!

Join us this Thursday, October 30th, from 5:00-7:00pm for the opening reception of Dream Machines!

Dream Machines showcases discarded bicycles transformed into imaginative, fully functional human-powered vehicles through a collaboration between Sam Fox School students enrolled in Lindsey Stouffer’s course Upcycles: Form, Function, and Design, and St. Louis BWorks alumni. The project combines design, fabrication, and community engagement, and celebrates creativity, technical skill, and empowerment.

Collaborating partners include Lindsey Stouffer (Senior Lecturer of Art and Architecture, WashU Sam Fox School), Patrick Van Der Tuin (Executive Director, ST. Louis BWorks), Evie Hemphill (Programs Director, St. Louis BWorks), as well as 10 WashU students enrolled in the course Up-Cycles: Form, Function, and Design, and 9 alumni from the St. Louis Bicycle Works Earn a Bike program.

This exhibition is partially funded by a grant from the Office for Socially Engaged Practice in the WashU Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts.
