We are very sad to hear the news of Renee Hirshfield's death yesterday. Renee was a former board member of Art & Soul Cafe and a very supportive friend. Rest in peace Renee.

Dear Friends of Art & Soul Cafe,

Art & Soul Cafe as a 501c3 is drawing to a close, after four years at Christ Church Cathedral in St. Louis, MO starting in 2004 and continuing as a moveable feast from 2012 to present. We are proud of all the programs that were created by an outstanding community of artists and supporters through the years!

When a 501c3 dissolves, the tradition is to pick another of a similar mission to pass on any remaining resources and support. We have chosen Living Arts Studio in Maplewood. Check them out at http://www.livingartsstudio.org/

So, we are having a final goodbye party for Art & Soul Cafe and a hello to Living Arts Studio on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 6:00 at the Living Arts Studio, 2814 Sutton Blvd., Maplewood, MO 63143.

Here’s the really fun part! Kelly Larson of Living Arts, and many of the regular artists at the studio, are sewing messenger bags, purses, and various sized bags out of the painted canvases that many of us painted at Art & Soul Cafe events through the years! Attached are photos of the original canvases and some of the newly created bags. We’ll be selling those at the event on July 29, with all funds going to Living Arts Studio. What a wonderful memento of Art & Soul Cafe!
