Thanks to everyone who came out for our very first Cabinets of Curiosity event last night, celebrating the incredible work by ! She gave an amazing artist talk helping unpack her work as a scientist and how that work and her work as an artist helps her to love and appreciate some of the weirdest and wildest little creatures in this world! Her work in the cabinets invites us to do the same, to see things we might naturally fear or think are gross and instead find delight and wonder in bugs, spiders, and sea slugs!

If you missed the event, not to worry, you can still see her work in the cabinets from now through May 3, 2026 anytime you come thru our lobby! Our office hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 11am-5pm

We are so excited to announce our newest exhibition space! Right in our lobby are two historic cabinets that currently house incredible work by , our inaugural Cabinets of Curiosities artist!

Duygu is an artist and scientist whose work delights the eyes with color and wonder! Infesting the cabinets with worms, bugs, and all things squirming, this show dares us to get curious and find beauty in what repels, and to love nature not despite its strangeness, but because of it.

Starting at 6pm, you’ll get to experience B. Duygu Özpolat’s work in the cabinets, enjoy some refreshments, and see the current gallery show, Interstitium. Then, at 7pm we’ll gather in the gallery to hear from the artist about her research as a scientist and how it impacts her work as an artist.

This event is free to attend, but a RSVP is recommended; use the events tabs on our website or the link in our bio to learn more and rsvp!

Hope to see you there!

We are so thrilled to have local chef and plant-based eating expert Caryn Dugan ( ) as the chef for this Dovetail! Chef Caryn Dugan will be crafting some custom charcuterie to help us envision the play and possibility in a diverse gut-healthy diet!

Our gut microbiomes are complex communities of trillions of microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi) in the digestive tract that acts as a vital organ system. It is essential for breaking down dietary fiber, synthesizing vitamins (like B and K), regulating the immune system, protecting against pathogens, and influencing metabolism and brain health.

One of the best ways to help keep our gut micro-biomes healthy and flourishing is through plant-food diversity. Experts recommend that each week you consume 30 distinct plant foods; using vegetables, fruits, legumes, grains, nuts/seeds, herbs/spices you can create a micro-biome supporting diet that is delectable, creative, and easy to make!

To illustrate this, Chef Caryn is crafting charcuterie that incorporates 30 plant-based ingredients. All of the foods for this Dovetail are completely plant based/vegetarian friendly.

There is still time to get tickets and join us! Use the link in our bio, or check out our website under the events tab.

Highly collaborative, RDC both creates original, evening-length works each season and commissions a mix of emerging and renowned choreographers at the cutting edge of contemporary dance. RDC envisions a future where there are no more “starving artists”, and programs multiple education, outreach, and professional initiatives to uplift artists, inspire the next generation, and bridge communities.

Resilience Dance will be performing a during the second half of our evening, including a new piece choreographed in response to the show!
