KipAero has been working to refine Aerodrome No. 5’s gasoline vaporization and Bunsen burner operation. Next step in the process of achieving an operational steam engine is adding the steam separator and coil boilers to this assembly to test the ability to get up to proper steam pressure. Everyday I’m learning more and more about home! For instance - did you know the world’s first successful flight of an unpiloted, engine-driven, heavier-than-air craft happened in Stafford County? Thanks to Langley Flight Foundation who just launched the Langley Aerodromw Experience at the Stafford Regional Airport!

I joined a few local colleagues to celebrate this momentous occasion - and we welcomed NASA Langley Research Center as well!
