Historic New England's Marrett House Marrett House is open for the season with guided tours available on the first and third Saturdays, June through October.

Visit HistoricNewEngland.org for more information. Marrett House is a unique house museum that takes you back in time to the life of an upper middle class family in 19th and early 20th century Maine. Built in 1789, the house is a Federal style building with Greek Revival updates. It's a classic example of big house-little house-back house-barn New England vernacular architecture. Visitors hear st

ories of life in this house for over 150 years. Rooms showcase treasured possessions including pewter, furniture, ceramics and textiles from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The 1847 parlor is one of Historic New England's best preserved nineteenth century rooms. Marrett House is located west of Portland, Maine and within minutes of Sebago Lake. Open 1st and 3rd Saturdays, June 1 - Oct. 15, 11 am - 4 pm. Admission $8 Adults, $7 Seniors, $4 Children.

Step into history at Marrett House!
Join us for a guided tour of this remarkable 18th-century home on the first and third Saturdays, June through October 18.

In 1796, Daniel Marrett—a recent Harvard graduate—moved to Standish, Maine, to serve as the town’s minister. To reflect his new position, he purchased the most impressive house in town. Three generations of the Marrett family lived here for nearly 150 years.

Explore this beautifully preserved property, a classic example of the connected New England farmstead: big house, little house, back house, barn.

📍 Tours are one hour and led by a knowledgeable guide.
