Presented by the Farmland Preservation Artists, This Land Is Your Land brings together works inspired by the farms, fields, forests, and rural landscapes that define our region and our nation.

As we commemorate America’s 250th anniversary, the exhibition invites us to look closely at the land around us—not only for its beauty, but for the history it carries and the role we each play in its future.

What does it mean to care for the land we call home?

Presented by the Farmland Preservation Artists, This Land Is Your Land celebrates the fields, farms, forests, and communities that shape our shared sense of place. Through painting and visual storytelling, the exhibition explores stewardship, preservation, and the enduring connection between people and the land.

As our nation marks its 250th anniversary, these works invite us to reflect on the landscapes that have shaped our history—and our responsibility to preserve them for generations to come.

Color, pattern, circles, layers—and a little beautiful chaos.

Erin Bolger Welsh is an abstract artist working in collage, painting, mosaic, and fibers. Inspired by overlapping cycles and circles, her work explores the desire to find order in a chaotic and scattered world.

A longtime art educator who currently teaches at Bellefonte Area High School, Erin believes that dots, circles, scuffs, and scumbles all have a story to tell.

We’re excited to feature Erin and her vibrant, energetic work at the Bellefonte Art Museum. Stop in and take a closer look—you may discover your own story within the layers.
