FOOD DRIVE at the Fence Show.

September is Hunger Action Month, so the Staten Island Museum is partnering with CHASI (Community Health Action of Staten Island) to collect non-perishable food donations at the 76th Annual Fence Show, Saturday, September 26.

Please bring nonperishable food such as rice, dried beans, canned tuna/chicken, peanut butter, pasta, canned tomatoes, oats, nuts, and shelf-stable fruits/vegetables that have not expired.

Look for the CHASI table to drop off your donation and help us help Staten Islanders facing food insecurity this fall.

Don't miss our Biergarten at the Fence Show. $20 at the door, SIM members bring one friend in for free!

Thank you so much to our Bloomberg Arts Interns Conrad Tofte and Olga Kokhno. Conrad and Olga have been a fantastic addition to the museum this summer and a huge help to our education department throughout the museum's Earth Camp and the DOE STEM Matter camps.

The Staten Island Museum was honored to join NYCEDC and Deputy Mayor for Economic Justice Julie Su for the 2026 LifeSci NYC Internship Program Closing Celebration. Attended by our Director of Education, Jenya Frid, and our wonderful LifeSci intern Tiffany Edwards, the museum is thrilled to be participating in this program giving career pipeline opportunities and continuing important work in the life sciences.
