ARTS, LOGGERS and LEFTOVERS tomorrow morning. Bright and bushy tailed at 8:30am on kyac90.1fm.
I'm having a guest Graham Toms. Some of you will remember him from previous visit. Always informative. Always entertaining.
Upon my own observation of myself, I find I often wonder why things, including people do what they do. So a question that's been floating around up there somewhere between my ears...why do certain people do Art? Why is there art? I would love Grahams response, but who knows, we may never get there.
So grab that mug of whatever, give old spot a whistle and join us on the porches of our minds.

A commissioned piece of a logging scene. Gives me a chance to skip down memory lane! Not that I need that to generate dreams of the same.
Does any other occupation, besides bull fighting give you dreams of situations where there's those times that you are required to make decisions, and you don't have a clue?
Sometimes I wonder if I don't have a mild case of pdsd. Grins. We

Art classes at Art Gone Wild Toews Studio starting February Thursday 26 at 6pm. to 7:30pm. 249 N. Third Ave. Stayton
3 sessions paid in advance. $100. That pays for all three classes but not workshop.

First class will be pencil and paper. Bring what you have. 80 weight tablet paper will do. 6b pencil. I will have some extra supplies at the class.

Subject will be landscape. Pencil on first class, then going to color in the last two.

There will be a followup workshop at our home 2 1/2 miles above Gates. Which will be scheduled and paid for separately.

The first two wood pieces are not done yet. On heavily Spalded Big Leaf Maple. These two are my peek-a-boo style. I will post more photos, size and their prices after I'm done.
The logging one is sold. But I can make prints. It is pen and water color. The logging systems is called a North Bend. Used sometimes for logging around corners. Smiles

This portrait of an Oregon Creek east of Scio has more complexities then first thought. I consider it about half done. I'll post it when it is finished and the buyer has seen it.
