There will be a special open house at the museum from 9:00 until noon on Saturday, November 16, to honor veterans.

We have a new display to honor the Viet Nam War Era veterans.

There will be a special presentation from a representative from the DAR at 10:00.

The first Open House of the season will be on Saturday, May 28th 9-11. Come and see the new displays and enjoy a cup of coffee.

We thank those of you who have renewed your membership and given donations. And a thank you to the new members who have joined our society. Plans for our summer have not been made, but we hope to have our Open House again.

Now that we are beginning a new year -- can it already be 2022? We would like to have those of you who have not seen all the exhibits that are in the Museum come for a visit. We think you will enjoy the tour. The Museum is closed but a call to 641 858 6085 will find someone that will open the door.

The Saturday morning Open House at the Museum is now closed for the winter, but plan to be open again about Memorial Day of 2022.
However, if you are interested in seeing all the new displays, please contact the President of our historical society, Jim Kramer at 641 858 6085 and he will arrange a tour whether it is for a group or one person.

The Museum had Saturday morning Open House during the summer months. Even though that isn't happening now, the opportunity to visit and view the displays in the Museum is still available. We live in such a busy world that we fail to be interested in the past. Our little town of Steamboat Rock has a history that is displayed in a former bank building that was built in 1897. Open House is held on Saturdays 9--11.
