This Saturday May 9th at 11am at the Hay Lake School Museum, 14020 195th St N, Marine on St. Croix, MN, the University of Minnesota Raptor Center will be there showing off the American Bald Eagle and several other Raptors. This event is free and is one of the Historical Society's USA 250 programs.

This weekend is the Fishing Opener an the Governor's opener will be in Stillwater on the St. Croix River. The photos attached is a silver fishing reel from the collections. It was made by F. Willman of Stillwater for L.E. Torinus - their names are engraved on the reel itself. This reel was donated to the Washington County Historical Society by John Schadegg in 1974.

Opening today!! The Hay Lake School & Johannes Erickson Log House museums in Scandia and the Warden's House Museum in Stillwater - 602 N. Main Street! Come and visit them and their new displays - the Warden's House is celebrating its 85th season this year!!

The Historical Society just received copies of these two images. The house is identified as the DeWolf residence 13711 St. Croix Trail North in Arcola...the other is of the Stillwater Dump with Joe Dupois shack. Does anyone know more about Joe? Photos ca. 1930s - 1940s.
