First up is longtime (since 2012!) Mill artist — Lisa is one of the integral parts of this operation that keeps the artists here organized, informed, and supported. No one knows how she does all the things she does but she does it all with a big smile!

We are so excited to announce our Velvet Mill Artists Gallery takeover of 🌟

This exhibition will highlight the remarkable diversity of artistic practices nurtured within the Velvet Mill Studios and serves as a bridge between the Stonington and New London art communities. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the artist’s unique perspectives, and the camaraderie that drives one of south eastern Connecticut’s most dynamic creative collectives.

The public is invited to the opening reception on Saturday, March 28 from 6 to 8 PM at the hygienic art gallery 79 Bank St., New London CT 06320. The exhibition will remain on view for April 25, 2026 with free admission. For more information visit hygienic.org.
