Faith in the Waiting

Sometimes God sends us a reminder at the exact moment our heart needs it.

I came across this picture today, and I couldn't help but smile. God is so good.

Waiting can be one of the hardest places to trust Him.

We pray.
We believe.
We do what we know to do.
And then…we wait.

But I'm learning that waiting doesn't mean God isn't working.
Maybe the waiting is where He is teaching me to trust Him more deeply. Maybe it's where He is growing my faith, changing my heart, teaching me patience, and reminding me that I don't have to know how everything is going to work out.
I only have to stay connected to the Vine.

There are things I'm praying for right now. Things I would love to see God answer today. But I'm learning that faith isn't only believing God can answer my prayer.

Faith is trusting Him while I wait for the answer.

A mustard seed is tiny, but Jesus said that's enough.

So today, I'm choosing to take the little faith I have and place it in the hands of a very big God.

I don't have to carry tomorrow.
I don't have to figure out the outcome.
I just have to be faithful with today.
And maybe that's where the growing happens.

In the waiting.
In the trusting.
In the abiding.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7

Lord, help me not to rush the season You are using to grow me. Teach me to trust You when I can see what You're doing—and especially when I can't. Keep my heart close to You while I wait. 🌿

God has the outcome. I have today.
Amen. ❤️

There’s something special about LOCAL. ❤️🤍

As I was working around the boutique today, getting things rearranged and ready for a new season, I stopped for a minute at our Strafford section.

Six years in this building has taught me a lot — and one thing I never want to take for granted is getting to have a little shop right here in the community I love. ❤️

We're doing a little rearranging, a little refreshing, and making room for some beautiful things coming this fall. And this season, I'm trying to be very intentional about what I bring into the boutique. I don't just want to fill the racks — I want to fill them with things YOU actually want to wear.

So while I'm planning and buying, help me out! 🍂

🌿 Six Years — and a New Chapter Begins

Today feels a little extra special at Thee Quaint Market & Boutique.

Six years ago today, September 1, 2020, I moved into this building with a dream, a whole lot of hope, and absolutely no idea what the next six years would teach me.

And goodness…a lot has changed since then.

The boutique has changed.
The displays have changed.
The inventory has changed.
The space has changed.
And so have I. ❤️

Today, on our six-year anniversary in this building, we're beginning another new chapter.

We're settling into our newly downsized 720-square-foot space, with lower overhead and a renewed focus on being intentional with what we bring into the boutique.

At one time, I probably would have looked at having less space as going backward.

Today, I see it differently.

Sometimes flourishing doesn't mean getting bigger. Sometimes flourishing means becoming wiser with what you've already been given. 🌿

I'm learning that growth isn't always measured in square footage. Sometimes it's measured in wisdom, peace, gratitude, and good stewardship.
So today I'm not mourning the space we gave up.
I'm celebrating the space we get to keep filling with beautiful things, wonderful customers, laughter, conversations, and memories.

Six years later, we're still here.

Still growing.
Still learning.
Still dreaming.
Still trusting God with what's next.

And I am incredibly grateful for every single person who has walked through these doors and become part of our story.

Here's to Chapter Seven. ❤️
