Today’s Moment of Mindfulness:

With your mind’s eye. Watch the sunlight dancing across the water. Entire worlds are reflected, upside down, within drops of dew which are sprinkled generously on lily pads and petals like the Milky Way in the night sky. Curious dragonflies are hovering and zooming as they circle.

Hear the low throaty croaking of bullfrogs as birds joyfully sing in the damp, dense forest.

Closing your eyes and lifting your head towards the sun. Feeling its warmth. Feeling the cool breeze coming off the lake.

Smell the freshness of the pine and cedars.

Take three deep breaths: Breath in 1…2…3…4. Hold 1…2…3…4…5…6…7. Release 1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8.

How do you feel? Odds are your heart rate has slowed, your blood pressure has lowered, and your Corisol levels have reduced.
