So Huckleberry and Dave's portrayal as Colonel Ledyard on horseback for the Town of Ledyard Connecticut's Parade has been postponed from tomorrow to June 27th due to weather.

However, portrayal of Samuel Huntington, Norwich's signer of the Declaration, with Huck is still on for the City of Norwich's Memorial Day Parade on Monday with the 250th Committee. This will be followed by the soft inauguration of the Three Captain's Tavern (a work in progress) for friends and neighbors.

Traveled to beautiful Jones Beach on the southern shore of Long Island yesterday to portray William Floyd, a NY signer of the Declaration, with General Washington (John Koopman), Lewis Morris (Kyle Jenks), some folks from New Windsor, and the Governor of NY. This was a kickoff press conference to open up NY's 250th celebrations, which will include the Blue Angels there on July 5th! The horse had the day off which was good as the drive was nearly 4 hours each way with traffic. Great to be back home and part in the 250th celebrations!

After 6 long years in the wilds of Western Massachusetts (now known as Wisconsin), Dave, Gretchen and Huckleberry have returned home to Connecticut with their retired Fox Hound Captain, who Dave and Huck fox hunted with at Mill Creek Hunt in IL for two seasons.

They have recently purchased the 1789 Captain Burnham (later Capt DeWitt) homestead in Norwich CT where the Marque de Lafayette called on Mrs DeWitt, the daughter of General Jedidiah Huntington, during his 1824 farewell tour.

Huck is living comfortably at another 18th century farmstead nearby. Now local to New England, they will be participating in the growing number of events for the 250th.

18th/19th century Horseman and Colonial Musicologist/Opera singer now available in Norwich. It's great to be back home - Huzzah!
