Sculpture in the South Sculpture in the South has placed over 20 pieces of permanent sculpture on public land in Summerville, SC, and promotes its appreciation through education.

The citizens of Summerville expressed their desire for public art at community meetings in 1993, and Sculpture in the South is meeting that need. With works by sculptors who have their art in the permanent collection in Buckingham Palace, the Smithsonian National Zoo, the Leigh Yawkey Art Museum and art tours to China, Summerville can boast about the remarkable quality of sculpture placed in the p

ublic realm for the enjoyment of residents and visitors. (Especially those who might never step into a museum or art gallery.)

This month Summerville Dream is teaming up with Sculpture in the South to put on the Art and Garden Stroll during Third Thursday! Make sure to stop by May 21 from 5:30-8:30pm to check out all the sculptures and art vendors that will be in Hutchinson Square! It is going to be an amazing evening!
