Calapooia Reflection Museum 113W. Central Sutherlin, OR. 97479 Mission statement for the “Calapooia Reflections Museum” Su You can mail us at Calapooia Reflections P.O.

We recognize that each younger generation turns the older generations pictures and possessions into artifacts that are often stored in boxes and dusty attics, wouldn’t it be nice if these artifacts could be protected and shared with the younger generations, to reflect on their local history? We are still looking for local photos, and other local artifacts that pertain to the local history of the S

utherlin area, as well as other items you may feel are of historic value to be recorded and shared In this museum. . We would like to have represented things like family bibles, old family photos, ledgers, maps, cemetery information, etc. Other types of items we would like to display might be household things such as (but not limited to) dishes, utensils, pictures, clothing, shoes, boots, hats, dolls, jewelry, and any other items of historic value. These items would be on loan to the museum for about six months in 2011. Our group would catalog all items and they would be returned to you at the end of that agreed time. Please contact Jo Barnes@ [email protected] or 541- 459-4522 and give us an idea of what you might have to contribute, and we will set up an appointment, to record and receive artifacts and contributions. Box #6
Sutherlin, OR. 97479. Now that we have created a permanent museum you may also consider items for loan and or donation. If you would like to be more involved in this worthwhile project by joining the membership, assisting as staff, or providing a financial donation, please contact us for further information. Thank you, and we look forward to working with you and for our community. Current Board members: Jo Barnes, , Sharon Norris, Loretta Quinney, Trudy Maenza , and Marcella Monbaron, and Geri Rudy
