We’re still hyped up from Saturday’s big game! Fourteen community leaders and familiar faces came together to take on the Great Black Swamp Frogs, and what an unforgettable day it was.

The weather may have kept us guessing at first, but once the rain cleared and the blue sky appeared, it turned into the perfect afternoon for vintage baseball. We realize that an extra practice or two might not have hurt, but the Sylvania Sluggers gave it their all and put on an incredible show. And the Frogs were fantastic — fun, spirited, and great sports while taking on our wonderful team of community characters.

If you missed the game, you definitely missed out on a one-of-a-kind experience. But don’t worry — check out these photos to see some familiar Sylvania faces transformed into vintage baseball players for the day!

We want to thank
- Hegde Walker Emans Financial Legacy Group for their uniform sponsorship
- Sylvania Recreation District for use of the field, tent and the delicious concessions (with throwback pricing)
- Sylvania Township for the help planning and face painting sponsorship
-Mayor Frye of the City of Sylvania, Ohio for the wonderful opening speech and kicking off the game
- Sylvania Schools for the student volunteer help and our incredible National Anthem singer

-The Great Black Swamp Frogs for bring such wonderful opponents and all your efforts in helping the team learn the old school rules
-To the Sluggers!! You all show what team work is all about and made planning this event so much fun!!!

Lastly, a big thank you to Sylvania for coming out to celebrate America 250 and for showing your support to your community.

We’re a little delayed, but we still wanted to share some photos from this year’s Mother’s Day Tea. Once again, it was a beautiful and memorable day celebrating time spent with moms.

Guests enjoyed delicious egg and cheese sandwiches, fresh fruit, and beautiful cheese and cracker trays provided by our friends at Olive’s on Main. We also had an assortment of beautiful desserts from So Sweet Lebanese & French Pastries, along with a variety of teas, lemonade, and coffee — all adding an extra touch of elegance to the afternoon.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this year’s tea another wonderful success.
