Heritage Sylvania Heritage Sylvania is a multi-site historical and educational non-profit located in downtown Sylvania.

Heritage Sylvania is a non-profit history and education center located in Sylvania, Ohio. We manage the Lathrop House - an Underground Railroad station, the Cooke/Kuhlman Home - an early 20th century doctor's home and office, the Sylvania Historical Village - a collection of original and recreated historic buildings and the Sylvania City Archives. As of July 11, both the Lathrop House and the Cook

e/Kuhlman House (Heritage Center Museum) are now open to the public on a regular basis. The Lathrop House is open Sundays 1 - 4 and the Cooke/Kuhlman Home is open Saturday 11 - 2 and Sunday 1 - 4. Visit History is Calling: Phones Through the Ages before the line is disconnected.

The final day to see the exhibit is Sunday, June 28th during the Cooke-Kuhlman House open hours 1pm - 4pm.

Join us this summer in Downtown Sylvania for First Fridays filled with peace, love, paintbrushes, cool brews, and local tunes.

July 3 – Red, White & Brew | (starting at 12 PM) Celebrate all things red, white, and brew with live music, food trucks, craft beer, and festive summer fun. Yep — the party starts here (and then head to the fireworks) boom boom!

August 7 – Sylvania Plein Air | (and the week leading up to it) Artists from all over the county will fill Downtown Sylvania with artistry as they set-up easels and paint the town. Experience art in action and celebrate the beauty of our community.
