Environment & Culture Partners

Environment & Culture Partners Environment & Culture Partners is a nonprofit accelerating environmental leadership of the US cultural sector.

Environment & Culture Partners is strengthening environmental leadership in the cultural sector by providing clarity of work and connection of resources to deliver impact at scale. We empower museums, zoos, gardens, aquariums and historic sites with the knowledge and skills needed to influence change, the partnership needed to do the work, and the voice to advocate for culture in every climate conversation.

We’re excited to see the High Museum of Art, Atlanta leading on climate action. Their recent GoodUse program with Southface Institute upgraded 162 lights to LEDs—saving energy, cutting emissions, and lowering costs. Projected annual savings include:
💡 23,986 kWh
🌍 17 metric tons of CO₂e
💰 $3,598/year in energy costs—funds that can go back into exhibitions and programs!

This is a terrific model of how cross-sector partnership + sustainability and the arts can power positive change.
