Talala Museum / Historical Society Preserving the history of the Town of Talala, Oklahoma The past is what makes the present live! Annual dues are payable June 1st.

We will strive to do our best as a community and as the Historical Society to preserve and maintain the Museum and its contents for future generations to come. You can become a member if you currently live in Talala, if you had previously lived in Talala, had relatives that lived in Talala, or anyone had any kind of connection to Talala. Individuals are $5 per year, family is $10 per year, Senior

citizens are $2 per person, lifetime membership for families is $100, individuals $50, and senior citizens is $25 each. Talala legally became a town on June 23rd, 1890, although businesses were already set up and people were already living in this area they called Talala home. The Talala Historical Society was established July 6th, 1988 by the State of Oklahoma.

It's International Picnic Day!!! Grab a basket of delicious food - sandwiches or fried chicken, potato salad, chips, lemonade, and sit under a shade tree, on a blanket, near a riverbank, and enjoy the day!!! If it's raining, then eat picnic food while watching a movie! :D

Come to the Talala Fairview Cemetery and support the Talala Cemetery Association. They have T-shirts, pies, and cookies for sale to help support the Association. I bought a navy blue T-shirt with the 250th happy birthday America on it.

Spring is in full bloom!!! What do you miss about Talala from the time you lived here? I miss so much! The Burger Hut, less highway traffic, how Talala Grocery once rented out VHS tapes, wading in the ditch water, etc.
