Art After Dark is back at The Dubliner Irish Pub to spotlight local artists from the South Tampa area and continues to bring in art to the community. It began in 2009 with a few artists painting collaborations together and has grown into a an artsy event attracting various locals to enjoy the works in progress. The event came to halt for 1 year while the venue battled with property changes and con

struction and is happy to announce the return of their famous art show! It has been featured in Creative Loafing and TBT as one of the Best Things To Do in Tampa! Artists paint live on different forms of canvas from wood to skin and play with different mediums while a popular band plays live music to entertain the crowd. The Dubliner offers food and beer specials to keep everyone up in spirits. You can drink beer, dance and watch artists create their masterpiece from start to finish. There is an edgy twist to this local art event that has recieved eager support from the community despite its controversial takes. Live Body Painting has become a fantastical addition to Art After Dark over the years and portrays the beauty of Tampa Lifestyle. The artists have a few demonstrations to show the audience how bodypaint is designed and applied. Usually the models are local volunteers that enjoy the freedom of appearing seemingly nude with thanks to the famous model Sally Rand who made public nudity possible for the arts. Art After Dark supports different charities for people in the Tampa Bay area. They have raised funds for individuals in need and larger organizations such as Make A Wish, American Heart Association, The Humane Society and many more. This event is FREE so please donate what you can to our fundraisers and buy art to support these local artists. Supporters are also entered into our Art Raffle for chances to win some donated artwork!
