Today, we explored the future of space exploration through hands-on LEGO building challenges like designing spacecrafts, building habitats, and imagining new ways humans could live and travel beyond Earth.

Across the museum, families, kids of all ages, and even our MOSI team brought big ideas to life, connecting play with real-world space science concepts. From creative builds to future-focused thinking, it was all about curiosity, innovation, and discovery.

Step up (if you dare) and experience one of our most popular science demonstrations - where thousands of nails work together to safely support your body!

So how does it work? It’s all about pressure distribution. Since your body weight is spread across thousands of nail points, the force on each individual nail is so small that it doesn’t hurt at all. It’s a powerful way to see physics in action!
