This is a monotype, and there is only one.

Pat paints oil etching inks directly onto a plexiglass plate, runs it through a printing press, and the paper pulls the paint in a way no brush ever could. The result is completely unrepeatable. Once it's gone, it's gone.

Monotypes like this one are on view now through Monday at the Memorial Day Open Gallery. Come see them and watch Pat make the next one.

Join us May 22–25 for our Memorial Day Open Gallery featuring brand new Monotypes and Oils in custom sizes, work that hasn't been seen before. Pat Woodall will be on-site all weekend giving live artist demonstrations, so come ready to watch art being made.
