📣 Deadline Extended!

🗓️ There's still time to be part of "Of This Place", the upcoming juried exhibition, co-sponsored by TAG and Two Rivers Arts. The submission deadline has been extended to June 6, 2026.

And here's something important: you don't have to be a professional artist to participate. Whether you're an experienced artist, an emerging creative, a hobbyist, photographer, maker, or someone who simply enjoys creating, we encourage you to submit your work!

This special exhibit invites participants to explore and interpret the people, landscapes, history, culture, and sense of place that shape our communities and experiences. We can't wait to see the many ways this theme inspires you.

For exhibition details, eligibility requirements, and registration information, visit: https://tapparts.org/2026/03/12/of-this-place/

Please share with friends, family members, and fellow creatives—this opportunity is open to everyone!

🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

One of the most moving works of public art in America is the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., designed by artist Maya Lin when she was just 21 years old. The polished black granite wall, etched with more than 58,000 names, reflects both the viewer and the names of the fallen — creating a powerful connection between past and present.

Art has the ability to help us remember, reflect, and heal. This Memorial Day, TAG honors the role of art in preserving memory and telling the stories that shape us.

Maybe the fountain of youth has been hiding in galleries, theaters, concert halls, and art studios all along!🎨

A new study highlighted by NPR found that regular engagement with the arts and culture may actually help slow biological aging. Researchers discovered that people who participated in creative and cultural activities were biologically “younger” than those who rarely did.

At TAG, we’ve always believed art enriches lives — but it’s pretty wonderful to hear science backing it up, too. Whether you paint, collect, visit galleries, attend openings, or simply pause to appreciate creativity, you’re doing something good for your mind, body, and spirit!

Eat well and exercise. That's the classic advice for living a long, healthy life. A new study suggests another habit to add to the list: Let your creative juices flow.

🎨🌸 Motherhood has inspired artists for centuries, and few captured its quiet tenderness more beautifully than Mary Cassatt.

The Child’s Bath (1893) remains one of the most beloved portrayals of the bond between mother and child — intimate, gentle, and deeply human. 💛

This Mother’s Day, TAG celebrates the women who nurture, guide, encourage, create, and love with their whole hearts.
