Last night the thundering USAC/CRA Sprint Cars invaded Arizona Speedway for the Hall of Fame Classic double header with the ASCS San Tan Desert Sprint Cars in front of a packed house. It was hot, dusty and fast at Central Arizona Speedway during last Saturday's final CAS Sprint Car event until September. RJ Johnson was in his own zip code and won going away. A link to the full comments will be in the comments. Enjoy!

A week late but here they are, my pictures from last Saturday's Not Quite Last Dance at Arizona Speedway. Since it was originally going to be the last race I decided to shoot more atmospheric shots of the people, the pits and the little things that made Arizona Speedway what it was. The night had a little bit of everything: a big car count, hard fought races, controversial finishes and a standing room only crowd overflowing from Arizona Speedway's bleachers. So here they are, my photos of the friends, families, cars and action from the "Thank You For The 11th Hour Reprieve State Department of Land Management" Last Dance.

Built for a world that doesn't exist anymore...Paradise Valley Mall is on life support and all vital signs are looking grim. During my visit the only signs of "life" were borderline geriatric mall walkers and lonely workers duly manning the remaining stores like captains on sinking retail ship.
