The Temple City High School Class of 1958 was the first class to graduate on the football field. In 2025 students had their ceremony at the new Bob Hitchcock Stadium although construction was not complete. Tonight the Class of 2026 will be the first class to graduate at the new, fully functional, Bob Hitchcock Stadium. Have you seen the new sports complex? What is your favorite part of the new facility?

Here's a picture from the 1950 Camellia Festival. The Grand Marshal that year was Doye O'Dell. He was famous for his western variety show on KTLA channel 5. He also served at the Grand Marshal for 1951. The General Chairman for the 1950 Camellia Festival was Mrs. Frank (Georgia) Maxey, and the theme that year was "Fairytales in Flowers".

On this Memorial Day we honor all the Temple City residents who died in service to our country. Pictured is one of Temple City's heroes, Roger Boomsma. Roger was a 1967 graduate of Temple City High School where he played football and was a member of the band. Roger was a private first class for the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He died on April 13, 1968 at the age of 19.
