NEW workshop by Shauna Martin!!

In this specialty workshop, you will learn all about painting with wax and fusing with heat with pressed flowers as our focus! We’ll also learn incising and tinting the surface with pigment sticks. ALL supplies included. We have plenty of supplies here but you are welcome to bring your own personal pressed flowers if you’ve got them. This 2 hour workshop is designed for artists of all levels, even those new to encaustic painting. You will leave this workshop with two (2) of your very own 5”x5” encaustic works of art on wood!

Paint your way into the world of Allan Ginsburg's beloved Soul Shelters — the tiny, luminous dwellings that have become his signature. This beginner-friendly workshop walks you through everything you need to create your own watercolor illustration from scratch.

You'll start with a hands-on introduction to professional-grade watercolor materials — learning what each tool does and how to use it with confidence. From there, you'll build a foundation in essential techniques, practicing the brushwork and color methods that make watercolor so expressive and alive. The workshop culminates in painting your very own Soul Shelter — a small, intimate piece in Allan's iconic style.

One participant will be randomly selected to take home the framed original painting on which the class is based.
All professional-grade supplies included.
