The Thompson Historical Society The Thompson Historical Society is the historical society of the town of Thompson, Connecticut.

The Thompson Historical Society is dedicated to investigating, preserving, and informing others about the original inhabitants of the land we now call Thompson and those who made their homes here. For nearly 50 years, the Historical Society has been fervently dedicated to archiving and documenting the history of our town for future generations.

Don't miss out on these events coming up on Saturday --
The walking tour will start at the Museum on Thompson Hill (339 Thompson Road, Thompson) at 12 noon. After 45 minutes of touring the historic village center, we will proceed to the Marianapolis School for an additional 45 minutes of gentle touring of their historic grounds and trails( these will be listed as two separate events. Register for one or both events, either way attendees are welcome to stay for both).

Tour of Marianapolis School Grounds (former Ream Estate) We will proceed to the Marianapolis School for an additional 45 minutes of gentle touring of their historic grounds and trails. Restrooms are available at several points and there is no charge for the event. Two Thompson Historical Society buildings will also be open for this event from 11:00 AM to 3 PM.
