The Great Community Give

Plains Museum is dedicated to preserving local history and culture for future generations. Collections from the fifteen communities that make up the political subdivision known as the Plains District include artifacts from home life, business, agriculture, service organizations, military history, and education. We are an all-volunteer organization and are entirely dependent upon community support through monetary donations and family treasures.
Ongoing projects at the museum include continuing rotating exhibits that emphasize the history, people, and organizations in our area. We have a monthly lecture series or program for the community, and we are computerizing our collections for easier access and cross referencing of all information we have. We have also been making improvements to our building to make it more energy efficient and convenient for patrons. We now have an outside ramp for easier access and have just completed ac and heat controlled extra storage for museum artifacts. We are excited about the progress we've seen and would love for you to come and see us!
Please consider a donation to the museum during the Great Community Give to keep this history alive.

Plains District Museum is participating in the Great Community Give on April 16th.
The donations from this fundraiser will be used to support ongoing projects at the museum, including rotating exhibits emphasizing the history, people, and organizations in our area. We also have a monthly lecture series or program for the community, and we are computerizing our collections for easier access and cross-referencing of all the information we have. We have also been making improvements to our building to make it more energy-efficient and convenient for patrons.
Go to: https://www.greatcommunitygive.org/organizations/tnydahro-5817 to see our page and make a donation. Thanks for your support!
