Tonights meeting was wonderful. Debbie Vaughn, lead singer of the Little Okies gave the history of the popular country band from the 60s and 70s. The family lived in Mannsville, OK.

Long before any of us called Tishomingo home, Chickasaw leaders chose this place as the capital of the Chickasaw Nation. That decision shaped the community we know today.

The connection between Tishomingo and the Chickasaw Nation isn't just found in history books or historic landmarks. It's reflected in the culture, opportunities, and investments that continue to strengthen our community.

Past and present are woven together here in a way few communities can claim.

That's another reason we're proud to call Tishomingo home.
