Tuesday, November 8, 2011, County Commissioner Robin Fisher handed over the keys to International Artist, Maxine Trainer, with much excitement. These keys belonged to a magnificent old building of brick, grease and cobwebs that for many years housed the Firestone Auto Center located on the property of the Miracle City Mall and has been sitting vacant for too long…. Through the persuasive energies

of Maxine and heavy negotiations between Robin Fisher and the Miracle City Mall owners, this property has been very generously donated as an Independently Operated Artisan Venue while efforts continue to restore and develop the mall property as a whole. Without Robin’s dedication and support this would just be yet another idea still hovering around on the drawing board. The Vision of Maxine’s is that of a Vibrant Working Art Studio and Gallery with a Creative Social Setting. Under her Experienced and Masterful Direction:
Professional Artists of many Attitudes, Tastes and Talents will have their own Creative Studio Bays to work, teach and share their talents. The Beautiful Gallery will display Artist’s Works for viewing and purchase. The Social Potion Lounge will be a Cozy and Magical gathering place for creative and inspiring minds to merge and all to enjoy. Ongoing regular Featured Artist Events, Children’s Classes and Shows, Indoor and Outdoor Table top Events, Musical Jam Sessions, Poetry and Writing Workshops, Wine Gatherings, a Variety of Artistic Demonstrations and many more exciting and fun opportunities will be available for you to be a part of in our Arts Community. StoneFire is located within the Historic Corridor, and is a part of the Great Expansion of our Beautiful Downtown area. this came up on my memory and thought the timing perfect This was stonefire art gallery the seed a unique and magical place for all to be ... Now the seed is beginning to grow into a beautiful tree ... i have been hesitant in my decisions and cautious in my commitment but the universe has made its own decisions on where my path meanders. You just can not fight the universe i learnt this many years ago. Once again i am surrounded by many amazing people giving their time energy and purpose to something that is much greater than moi. In the last few days we have had retired cops veterans sculptors artists musicians housewives farmers kids nasa engineers even a Canadian guy travelling around the world on his cycle damn word travels fast lol all coming together to create something beautiful .

stonefire art gallery was not just for the humans ....over a period of time we saved and found homes for 103 cats from the local shelter These cats would have been euthanised. the cats would come in scared and nervous but after a few days of hanging around the studios chilling. They let their fur down and really began to show their beautiful sides. People would come in to pet them and in no time at all the cats were puuurfect for their new homes. What a fabulous feeling to see these beauties go to their new homes from death row to caviar and love ... that takes a village
