Today is the final day of the Juanita Moody Show. Her art was amazing, painting, glass, clay... This show represents more than 50 years of her creativity. Stop by the Steamboat Landing between 2 and 5pm today...you can visit with John (her husband) and several of their children. Juanita & John had been members of ARTrails of Southwest Washington for many years prior to her passing. They lived and had wonderful studio space just north of Toledo.

Cheese Ball with about 150 pieces of pre-wrapped cheese snacks) is up in the air now...music will be happening in the parking lot between El Tejano (you know the Mexican Restaurant) and the Toledo Boat Launch. Thanks to Rick & Tonya Lovell for electricity. Jim Wallace/Alan Buswell for the lift and Chuck Caley for the music and video show. Toledo City is providing space and burning barrels to keep us warm. Toledo Lions Club supplied the fireworks at midnight. Vision:Toledo is happy to share this New Years tradition of cheese, noise makers, laughter and a bit of silly fun with our community. Starts about 11:15 and will finish up a bit after midnight. Hint: El Tejano's is open until midnight tonight !

If you are near Toledo on New Years Eve come to Toledo’s Boat Launch Parking Lot…right by the Cowlitz’s River bridge after 11pm and help us celebrate New Year 2024 with the Giant Cheese Ball Drop at Midnight. It is an outdoor community/family friendly PARTY with music, cheerful greetings, hand warming fire barrels and a bit of “dancing around” by all ages. At midnight the Giant ball is lowered to a count-down clock and folks are invited to take a piece of (pre-wrapped) cheese off the ball….no smashed cheese to clean-up. There will be FIREWORKS too at midnight…Thanks: City of Toledo, the Toledo Lions Club, vision:Toledo and Mike Morgan with friends.
