Schmidt Messenger Studios A outlet for this studio to keep up with some of the happenings at our studio. In the mid 1960s Jack began to work in glass, experimenting with the material.

Located in the arts district in downtown Toledo, Ohio and down the street from The Oliver House. Messenger Schmidt Studios is a small private studio for the artists Shawn Messenger and Jack Schmidt. Shawn Messenger produces works of floral vases inspired by the gardens from her own home and the great paintings of Impressionists such as Matisse. Showing at many of the trade shows around the country

Shawn's work is a contemporary take on old traditional Italian techniques. Jack Schmidt is a sculptor born and raised in Toledo and a graduate of Bowling Green State University. Sense the 1980s Jack has been combining metal and glass in series's that span from figural to architectural forms. His latest series of works 'Precious Stone has a deep connection to the landscape, referencing horizon lines and earthly qualities. His work is represented by Habatat Galleries throughout the country.

Waiting for you to come visit tomorrow. 10 am-.4pm! Paperweights galore!! ? $40-75. Plus great vases, bowls and an amazing collection of Jack Schmidt sculptures, Timothy Stover new unbelievable castings and Ian Schmidt one of a kind vases! Keegan O’Brien and Mitch Warren super assistants will be making glass pieces and showing how my murrini flowers are created!!
