Tolland Historical Society is planning lots of America 250 programs throughout the spring and summer. Sharing this upcoming event.

Now that the Tolland Historical Society's antique show is over, we can start publicizing a talk that U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas O. Farrish, a longtime Tolland resident, will be delivering on Sunday, March 8 on "James Madison and the American Founding."
It will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Old Tolland County Court House Museum at 53 Tolland Green in Tolland.
Judge Farrish gave a well-received talk last year on President Abraham Lincoln, so he's been asked back as the society is marking America 250 with a series of programs.
There is a suggested donation of $5.

Make plans to attend the 57th annual Tolland Antiques show on March 1. It's the major annual fundraiser for the Tolland Historical Society, and it helps support our programs for residents of all ages and our four museums - the Daniel Benton Homestead Museum, the Old Tolland County Court House Museum, the Old Tolland County Jail and Museum and the Tolland Military Museum.
We preserve and tell Tolland's story.

Come on down and experience Christmas in 1943 as The Tolland Historical Society presents WW2 Reenactors from the 169th 43rd ID come "Home for the Holidays" listen to them tell their stories and join in with some caroling! Also meet special guest WW2 Vet Fighter pilot Robert Garabedian. Robert just turned 101 Years young and would love to meet and talk with you. He will also love to sign autographs for anyone. There will be Hot cocoa and cider to enjoy along with 1940s Decorations in the Parlor! if you have that history buff in the family, now's the time to bring them down to see history! As a result of unfavorable weather predictions, outdoor activities have been cancelled from the Armed Forces Day celebration. The museum will offer an open house from 11am-3pm tomorrow.
