Tremont Museum & Historical Society The Tremont Historical Society & Museum exists to discover, collect, and preserve materials relevant to the history of Tremont, IL.

We are open 2nd and 4th Sundays from 2-4, except in January and February when the museum is closed. Times are announced for exhibits and events. Tours for groups, families or individuals can be arranged by contacting 309-840-0094

SAVE THE DATE! 7:00 Tuesday evening Nov. 17. The Historical Society’s program is open to the public, “ROOTED AND REMEMBERED.”

Since 1835, the land along Lake Windermere Road has passed through just three families. This program follows the eclectic mix of owners, sharing stories from World War II and highlighting the often overlooked women who cared for the land for nearly 2 centuries. Join Katie VandenBerg as her family writes the next chapter: restoring native Illinois prairie, one of the rarest ecosystems in the state, on the same ground.

The program will be held at the Tremont Community Center on Sampson St.

LAST OPPORTUNITY!
Tremont Museum will be open this Sunday, Sept.13 from 2-4:00. This will be the last chance to see the “ Tremont’s Early Movers & Shakers” exhibit in its entirety. After Sunday we will be taking the exhibit down.
This exhibit is free, though donations are gratefully accepted.
We are located at 329 S. Sampson Street.
