Finally got my website updated, with a lot of help from my wife. I remember when that was a one person job, back when computers made your life easier. Ha!

My new painting "The Scream" has been uploaded for a while, but the image was cropped. So that's been fixed now.

I also removed some old paintings that don't sell well anymore.
It looks better having 10 rows of 3 paintings. Less to scroll through.

Much more available at the art shows. I've done close to 100 paintings over the last 20 years, and a ton of sketches.

On a sunshine-filled Saturday, Myrick Park provided the perfect canvas for the 64th annual Art Fair on the Green, the largest art fair in the Coulee Region.

BROKEN WING

A watercolor painting from 2003. That was the first year I did art fairs. It was the first print I ever sold. Sales from this painting helped pull me through that first year.

My inspiration for Broken Wing came to me in a vision one night while trying to fall asleep. I had lost my mother several years earlier, and was still grieving her loss. I climbed out of bed and went down to my studio where I did a quick sketch. In the morning I was surprised to find the drawing on my table, as I had forgotten about drawing it the night before.

After I finished painting Broken Wing, my wife wrote the poem to accompany the painting. Broken Wing has been one of my best selling pieces, and inspires many people suffering from their own 'broken wing'.

2020 ART FAIRS

As of this post, there were only two art fairs that had not made a decision, all the others have cancelled their 2020 shows. I marked them all as cancelled on my schedule. Even if one decided to have their show, I would likely decline. The logistics of trying to do an art fair during a pandemic are difficult to say the least.
